Maduro Warns of U.S. Movements in the Caribbean

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has voiced strong concerns over recent U.S. military activities along the Caribbean coast, declaring that his country is fully prepared to defend its territory, national sovereignty, and the dignity of its people.
Maduro emphasized that future generations of Venezuelans must live in a free and independent nation. He said his government is taking necessary steps to safeguard the country’s independence.
He reiterated that Venezuela has never interfered in the internal affairs of other countries and expects the same non-interference from others regarding Venezuela.
Highlighting the dangers of foreign intervention, Maduro stated that the Venezuelan people desire a peace founded on sovereignty, equality, and freedom—not one that represents political slavery or dependency on foreign powers.
His remarks come at a time of growing tensions between Venezuela and the United States over Washington’s military presence in the Caribbean region.
